In 1977, a Peter Pan record album adapting the comics was produced, with the regular Electric Company cast voicing their usual roles as well as the various Marvel characters. Win Mortimer was the most frequent artist. The comic ran from 1974 until 1982, with 56 issues total. Designed as an easy reading book and aimed at a younger audience, the series spotlighted Spider-Man and most of The Electric Company cast (including Easy Reader, the Short Circus, the director here called Rita, Jennifer of the Jungle and Paul the Gorilla, and Fargo North, Decoder).Īpart from Electric Company characters, the comic had many of the supporting Spider-Man cast and featured regular team-ups/battles with other star Marvel heroes and villains. Spidey Super Stories was a Marvel comic published as a tie-in with The Electric Company, taking its title from the regular TV segments featuring Spider-Man (played in pantomime by Danny Seagren) and absurd villains. ![]()
